4 C’s Of Diamonds

The 4 C’s of diamonds is a very well know grading standard used to describe different characteristics of a diamond The 4 C’s are carat, cut, color, and clarity. Diamond Carat Weight

The diamond “carat” is the first of the 4 C’s. The is used to describe the weight or the size of a diamond. Often, diamonds are thought of as the bigger the better. Diamond Cut

Diamond cut refers to how well the diamond has been cut. Diamonds start off as a normal-looking rock and a diamond cutter physically cuts the diamond to give it maximum brilliance. How well a diamond is cut is a large factor on how well the diamond will shine. Find out more about diamond cut here.

Diamond Color

Diamond color refers to the actual color of the diamond. White diamonds are graded on a scale from D through Z. The whiter the diamond the more valuable it is. There are also color diamonds that get graded in a similar way. Find out more about diamond color here.

Diamond clarity is a major factor in the value of a diamond. The fewer inclusions that are in a diamond the more valuable. Diamond clarity is graded on a scale that goes from Flawless To Included (3). The goal is to get a diamond with the fewest inclusions and stay within your budget.
